Krissy & Don

My little sister got married!  It was a great day, and all their hard work and planning realy paid off.  They certainly did take care of every detail, and it showed.  Initially, she hired another girl to take pictures, saying she wanted me there as family and not photographer, and didnt want me to feel obligated to work on her wedding day, but rather be there and just enjoy it.  I told her I was more than happy to bring my camera, and give her a second set of photos as my gift to them.  Im glad I did.  They are a great couple to shoot, and the locations they chose were perfect for a sunny, fall day.  And to top it all off, what other wedding has wedding rings delivered by dog!?  Now I've seen everything... or at least, something new!

When I started editing these shots the other day, as usual, I only intended to put up 20 or so of my favorites.  Perhaps it was because it was family, but I seemed to have ended up with many more this time around.  There just seemed to be so many great moments captured that day!  Enjoy...

PS. My wife did Krissy's hair.  If you need a great hair stylist, go say hello to her...

My trip to Italy

I got back from a 2 week trip to Italy last week.  We spent a week in Rome, then took a train to Florence for another week.  I left the standard picture taking to my wife and focused myself on street photography, and some more interesting building and architecture shots.  Most of the street shots of people were taken blind, as in I did NOT put the camera up to my eye.  I set the settings and would hope for the best as far as framing, focus, and exposure.  Most turned out.  Some didn't.  The first picture below (of the old man) was 1 of the ones that didn't.  The exposure was completely off and the image was black.  I cranked the exposure in the computer and was surprised the image was still there, but very very grainy.  I liked how it looked so I decided to include it.
