Rena & Kyle

Rena has been a friend of mine for 10 years now, because she is my wife's oldest friend.  Best buds since they were small.  When she told us she was engaged to Kyle, I was happy to offer to shoot for them and I know Rena was excited for me to do so.

Despite the summer being pretty hot and humid to begin with,  the wedding day was about the hottest, most humid day ever, with rain in the forecast.  But everyone kept a smile on and we only had rain for about an hour in the afternoon and a few bursts in the evening.  The clouds even parted just long enough for the actual ceremony, so that was pretty coincidental.

Rena and Kyle did a great job setting up the family farm for the wedding.  The attention to detail was very thorough.  It made for a great backdrop to the shots.  All in all, it was a great day, despite the heat and rain.  Here are a few of my favs from the day...

Josh & Sabrina

Another great day with great people.  I always say I've been blessed to work with the nicest couples, and Josh and Sabrina, and their families, were no exception.  After a quick visit with the guys, I spent most of the morning with Sabrina and the girls at her parents house, which was a classic example of an Italian household.  Now that my grandma has passed, I feel our family has somewhat lost touch with its Italian roots, so it was definitely a nice change to be living in it again, if only for a brief time, prosciutto sandwiches and all.

We were thrilled to work with Aaron. When we view our engagement and wedding photos, we see our own unique story. He focuses on spontaneous moments that have meaning, and yet, every picture is like a piece of art. What surprised us the most was Aaron’s ability to capture moments that we were unaware of. When we see those moments in his photos, we are brought back to the best day of our lives.

While it was one of the hottest, most humid days of the summer, that didn't stop us from having a nice time at the RBG, getting some great shots while we were there.  We finished up the day at the Grand Olympia, which is a very nice reception hall, and the only one I've been to that includes indoor fireworks for the first dance!

So while it was a long and hot day for sure, I was glad to have had the chance to shoot for Josh and Sabrina again.  Here's a quick recap of the day...
